Fashion and Building Communities in the Metaverse with Simon Mikolajcyzk

Kamilah and Nova chat about fashion in Web3 and the Metaverse.

This week’s guest is Simon Mikolajcyzk. He is a skilled entrepreneur. He’s done a lot of community building, marketing efforts, and fundraising. As part of Maison DAO, Simon has been doing a great deal of work to build more communities and connections in Web3.

Simon first got into Crypto/blockchain when he moved to Berlin. He was thinking about connecting blockchain and fashion. He also wanted to find out how to help limit waste and work with the supply chain

Nova and Kamilah also talk about the connections between marketing and community building.

Simon talks about Maison DAO and creating a new home for brands in Web3 and the metaverse. “Fashion doesn’t exist in a vacuum.” At the same time, it is always connected to other art. He goes on to talk about how Web3 opens the way for better global communication and “hybrid” events online and in-person (IRL).

There are technical limitations to hybrid events, but it’s improving, and many different people are working to improve on them.
